Description
An effective solution for controlling mosquito infestations in gardens. Available in granule form, this treatment eliminates larvae before they reach adulthood. The bacteria contained in the granules activate once ingested by the larva and act as a growth inhibitor: the larva then stops developing and eventually dies. This larvicide is based on a floating plant-based carrier, specially designed to target mosquito larvae living on the water’s surface.
Simply scatter the granules on the water's surface: they will then dissolve naturally. Designed for use in any standing water in your outdoor areas, these naturally derived granules offer a simple and targeted solution to limit the breeding of mosquitoes, including tiger mosquitoes. They are ideal for flower pot saucers, puddles, small ponds, rainwater collectors, watering cans, and storm drains. They can also be used in natural pools (ornamental ponds) and are compatible with septic tanks and micro-treatment plants.
This natural and organic solution is safe for insects, pets, and aquatic organisms.Water treated with these mosquito-repellent granules can be used to water plants, including those in the vegetable garden (however, it is recommended to rinse fruits and vegetables before consumption). While safe for pets, birds, fish, and humans, this treatment should not be used in ponds containing crustaceans.
Instructions for Use
Directions: Begin treatment as soon as the first larvae appear. Simply place the granules directly in the water; the larvicidal effect takes effect within 12 to 18 hours of application.
Long-lasting effectiveness: up to 5 weeks.
Dosage: 2 g (about one teaspoon) per square meter, or 100 g for 50 square meters.
Since mosquito larvae live on the water’s surface, the dosage is always calculated based on the surface area to be treated, not the volume. Therefore, a pond measuring 1 square meter should be treated the same way, whether it is 10 cm or 15 m deep.
To determine the amount needed, simply measure the surface area of the water to be treated (in square meters).
Application frequency: Every 4 to 5 weeks. In case of heavy rain, every 2 to 3 weeks.
Use biocides with caution.
Read the labels and product information before use.
